The Link light rail extension to SeaTac and Sea-Tac International Airport opens for passenger service on Saturday, Dec. 19. The 1.7-mile extension completes the line from downtown Seattle that opened July 18th.

Light rail service to
SeaTac/Airport Station begins at 10 a.m. Passenger service will end at Tukwila/International
Boulevard Station prior to the 10 a.m. opening of the final segment to the
airport. Sound Transit and regional partners will host a ribbon cutting
ceremony at SeaTac/Airport Station prior to the trains opening for public
service. Volunteers will be on hand at the station and in the airport terminal
to assist passengers over the weekend.

Passengers will connect to
the airport terminal via a new pedestrian bridge connecting the station with
the fourth floor of the airport garage. The Port of Seattle has constructed a
new separated pedestrian walkway through the garage to the terminal. Passengers
can pick up and drop off luggage carts at the station and purchase Link
tickets. There is no parking at the station but it can be accessed via a
pick-up and drop-off area at International Blvd & S 176th St in SeaTac or
through the airport parking garage.

Link will operate on its
normal Saturday schedule from 5 a.m. – 1 a.m. and regular fares will be
required. On weekdays, the first train from the airport to downtown will depart
at 5:16 a.m. and the last one will leave at 12:07 a.m.
