Texas Central makes a major decision to move it's high-speed project forward.

As the Texas Central high-speed rail project, which will provide high-speed service between Houston and Dallas moves forward, it has signed an agreement with Renfre to be an “Early Operator” for the line.

Renfre’s role will be to provide advice to the Texas Central as it makes decisions on how to develop the system. Renfre is a key player in Spain’s railroad system by operating 5,000 trains per day, over 7,500 miles of track, moving millions of passengers and millions of tons of freight each year.

Texas Central CEO Carlos Aguilar said “Renfre has an established reputation for excellence in railroad operations in Spain and across the world. With their decades of expertise, they were a natural fit to join our team of best-in-class global experts setting the foundation for this new jobs-creating industry we are bringing to Texas.”
