SYSTRA acquires bridge design company IBT

SYSTRA has acquired bridge design company International Bridge Technologies (IBT).

 

Following the acquisition, IBT will be renamed SYSTRA IBT. SYSTRA says that the combination of the two companies “will provide clients with high-end technical expertise in bridge design combined with high-quality production capabilities that can be rapidly mobilized to meet clients’ requirements.”

“We are delighted to welcome IBT’s talented team of bridge engineering specialists to the group and we are committed to preserving, nurturing and developing this technical discipline,” said SYSTRA CEO Pierre Verzat. “By combining the complementary bridge engineering expertise of both companies through our new global bridge center of excellence, we will offer clients the full range of services in this field. SYSTRA and IBT value technical excellence, innovation and quality and share an unwavering commitment to safety and ethics.”

SYSTRA says that it will double is geographic footprint in bridge design, as well as increase its proximity to clients through this acquisition. The company will gain bridge design centers in the U.S., Canada and Dubai, UAE. SYSTRA has existing bridge design centers in France, Korea and India.
