U.S. Rep. Nehls Tours Herzog Facility at NRC-REMSA Grassroots Event

NRC and REMSA member Herzog Technologies, Inc. welcomed U.S. House of Representatives Member Troy Nehls (TX-22) for a tour of its Fort Worth, Texas, facility on April 7, 2023.

HTI provides the railroad industry with technology-based solutions ranging from basic engineering planning to complex turnkey system integration. Rep. Nehls currently serves as the Chairman of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee’s Subcommittee on Railroads, Pipelines, and Hazardous Materials. Rep. Nehls also serves on the Committee’s Highways and Transit Subcommittee.

An employee meeting with Rep. Nehls and a tour of the facility were led and participated in by Jim Hanlon, president of HTI, Jim Hansen, chief commercial officer of Herzog Contracting Corp., and Troy Elbert, senior vice president of quality assurance & rail detection innovation of Herzog Services.

“It was terrific hosting Rep. Nehls at our facility today. Being able to share with the Congressman what HTI is all about and show him some of the safe and applicable technologies that HTI and the Herzog family works on for the betterment of the industry was a great experience,” Hanlon said.

Rep. Nehls and those on the tour discussed the services HTI provides, the economic benefit they provide to Texas and the nation, and the importance of safety culture to HTI and the entire Herzog team, a release said. 

Other tour participants included Travis Rollings, vice president of System Services for Herzog, Eric Lausten, director, HBS Transportation and Infrastructure, and Mike McGonagle, NRC vice president of government affairs & operations, and REMSA vice president of government affairs.
