GDC Revises Hudson Tunnel Project Procurement Strategy

The Gateway Development Commission (GDC) on April 18 announced that it has revised its procurement strategy to build the Hudson Tunnel Project, dividing the “Civil Works” construction of the new tunnel from one package to four packages, including additional early works projects.

CTA Approves $3.4M in Contracts to Expand Workforce Partner Program

As part of the Chicago Transit Authority’s plans to foster diversity, equity, and inclusion in its operations, the Chicago Transit Board approved the awarding of two contracts totaling $3.4 million to five local contractors on April 12 to assist in the identification, recruitment, and training of a diverse prospective workforce and their placement on CTA and area construction projects.

WMATA announces Yellow Line reopening date

Metro is welcoming customers back to the Yellow Line on Sunday, May 7, 2023, beginning with the start of rail service at 7 a.m. The reopening will mark the completion of extensive rehabilitation work on the Yellow Line tunnel and bridge between Pentagon and L’Enfant Plaza stations.
