Two Capitol Corridor Accessibility Projects Enter Second Phase

The Northern California agency’s Fremont Station Accessibility Improvement Project entered phase two of construction Jan. 23 and related work will continue for the next several months. The Martinez Station Accessibility Improvement Project began its second phase Jan. 27.

HART to Take On Rail Repairs in Coming Weeks

Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation (HART) Executive Director and CEO Lori Kahikina told the board of directors on Jan. 20 that the delay in trial runs of the Hitachi Rail trains will end only when a “communications software issue” is resolved.

MARTA to Suspend Service for Track Replacement Work 

The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority will be suspending rail service south of the Atlanta-area agency’s Medical Center Station in order to carry out track replacement work from Feb. 17 at 9 p.m. through the end of service Feb. 22.
